At Sundance, we recognize that many people deal with the devastating effects of alcohol abuse on a daily basis.
Regardless if you are the individual who is struggling to stop using alcohol, or if you are watching a loved one suffer from this debilitating disease, the damage is real and very serious. In today’s society, alcoholism is a very common disease. The media portrays alcohol as something that is easily manageable for all people, and it has little side-effects. This false representation of alcoholism can result in huge amounts of misunderstanding from the public in general. However, those who have had alcohol effect their lives personally know better. We know that overcoming this disease is nearly impossible to do on your own. At Sundance, we have specialized considerate counselors with experience and education in helping others to overcome this disease.
The help you and your loved ones deserve is only a call away. Call us now and talk with one of our caring professionals. They will be able to answer all your questions and help you take the steps necessary to regain your freedom.
We created the treatment programs with certain things especially in mind. We wanted to provide a secure and warm environment in which those suffering from alcoholism would feel supported, understood, and be able to obtain the guidance they need to overcome the disease. We wanted to create an alcohol rehabilitation center that would provide healing on multiple levels as well as treating the disease itself. The processes we use give healing on emotional, psychological and physical matters that are linked to alcohol and drug addiction.
There are two main stages in recovery from alcoholism. The first stage is known as awareness. In this stage, the individual becomes conscious of certain actions and thought-processes that have enabled them to continue their addiction. The second stage of recovery is known as transformation. Within this stage, individuals will be able to change the negative behaviors and ideas that they became aware of in stage one. This will enable our clients to gain a more balanced, positive, and healthy lifestyle.
To supplement individual and group therapy, we at Sundance have designed a variety of activities specially chosen to aid in the recovery process of overcoming addiction. These experiential activities include such things as Art Therapy, Yoga, Toltec Wisdom Groups, and Rhythms and Life Drumming Therapy, Sweat Lodge and Nature Walks. Activities such as these allow our clients to not only participate in enjoyable activities, but also allow them to gain insight into their lives and begin building a sober lifestyle free from addiction.
At Sundance, we understand that no two people are alike; therefore no two treatment plans should b e exactly alike. We pride ourselves on our ability to personalize and tailor fit each client’s treatment and healing process to ensure that they are receiving the specific care they need to overcome their addiction problem. We are committed to provide the most successful treatment possible. Whether a person seeks our help for their addiction with drugs or alcohol, we will assess what processes will work best for them in terms of treatment on a specialized level. By so doing, we can better ensure a successful and lasting healing process.
The philosophy of our treatment is one of understanding and development. We offer unique guidance and treatment to each resident as they begin their journey to a sober and free life.
