Addiction Recovery

To ensure the most effective treatment program, we know that it is essential to tailor each plan for recovery on an individual basis. As soon as a client enters Sundance, our caring professionals begin assessing and deciding what methods and treatments would work best for the client based on their past drug or alcohol use, as well as the symptoms they experienced from such usage. The Sundance counselors, as well as the client, are then able to decide what the best procedures for healing would be and set up a specialized treatment plan along with fitting goals for a healthier future.

Upon arrival, every client is assigned a licensed and caring addiction counselor. Their counselor will be with them throughout their healing process. The counselor will be able to note the progression of each client and determine if certain methods of healing are working, or if they should be altered. Sundance counselors will be with their individual resident the entire time to assist them in resolving their addictions as well as other issues that enable their addictions. Resolving the multiple of other issues that become present when there is an addiction, also known as taking a holistic approach to healing, helps to create greater success rates, and long-term effectiveness.

The Group Therapy sessions are also essential to each recovery process. During Group Therapy, our clients are able to see that not only are the counselors and staff helping and guiding them, but that they are able to learn from the group's discussion and analyze themselves while being guided by the counselors. Group sessions allow the residents to share and most importantly show support for each other and to celebrate one another's victories.

Family Treatment Plan

Family is a vital part of going through the healing process of an addiction. Families also suffer when someone close to them is addicted to drugs or alcohol. The Family Treatment Program at Sundance enables the family to show their support for their loved one, as they deal with the pain of addiction as well. We help the family to become educated about addiction the nature of it, the effects of it, behaviors that enable it, and how they can give their loved ones motivation to stay sober. After the recovery process, the family becomes a key part of long-term success. The support of one's family and loved ones can be a major influence for good in helping the client to keep the base that will help their loved ones live free of addiction forever. That is why we at Sundance feel it is so important that the family is included in treatment plans.
