Upon entering our Arizona Alcohol Rehabilitation Center our considerate and professional counselors and staff strive to make certain that our residents feel as at ease as possible. Right when our clients enter Sundance, we begin a plan that will enable us to tailor a program to specifically meet the needs of each individual. At the Sundance center we adamantly believe that healing engages more than merely the addiction. It also involves healing the body holistically. Our facility features a private chef to ensure that only the most premium meals are served. Our residents are able to use an fully-equipped gym with pools, racquetball courts, free weights, treadmills, trainers and much more. Most significantly, our counselors combine efforts with each person to help them obtain clarity into the sources of their addiction, and to resolve past and present conditions that have triggered their addiction. Each resident’s experience at our facility will differ depending on their unique character.
It can be said that there are 3 main phases in triumphing over addiction. The 1st stage is known as detoxification. This is the process in which the body and mind go through withdrawals due to the lack of the addictive substance. Detoxification from alcohol takes place at a specific center that specializes in assuring that those who are going through detoxification are appropriately monitored and looked after.
The 2nd stage is residential recovery. This can vary in length but typically lasts between 28 and 90 days. However, the residential recovery can last as long as is necessary depending on the needs of each person. During this program, each resident will receive care, both one-on-one and private, in the which they will be guided in discovering the origin of their addiction and how to cope with and overcome negative tempations.
The 3rd stage is referred to as aftercare. In this stage, the resident has already been through the detoxification process, graduated from residential treatment, and would then be changing their life into one of sobriety and freedom. Aftercare is a vital part of the recovery process. It is essential that each person come to the understanding that battling addiction will be a day to day struggle which they must incessantly choose to win. One of the best ways to gain strength is to be active in sobriety, by attending groups, sponsoring others, and actively studying and reviewing material to strengthen the mind against relapsing.
